Illustrating a recipe takes a cherished heirloom recipe out of the box, and puts it on display in our daily lives as a reminder of the people, places, and memories connected to the dish.
They make great gifts for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, weddings, Christmas, birthdays, or to honor a loved one’s memory after they’ve passed. And, of course, you can always hang them in your own kitchen.

I use archival ink and a mix of media (watercolor, gouache, or oil paints) to create each 8”x10” art piece on thick, watercolor paper. Order the original artwork by itself, or add on high-quality art prints to share with the whole family. You can request prints with your initial order, or come back and purchase them at any time.

timing & deadlines
***Due to an expected high volume of birthday orders, this timeline is subject to change, though I will do my best to be timely. If you hope to have the art piece by a specific date, let me know so I can make sure to get it to you on time.***
Once you’ve completed both steps, I'll send you a sketch within four business days. This is my chance to clarify any questions and your chance to make any final suggestions.
After you give me a 'thumbs-up' on the sketch, I'll get out my paints, ink, and paper and create your original work of art within six business days.
Please note that it takes time to make custom art, so plan accordingly. Creation of your artwork will take about 2-3 weeks, depending on your response time to clarifying questions and the initial sketch. After that, you can budget up to 3 weeks for shipping outside of the EU, up to 2 weeks for shipping within the EU, and up to 1 week for shipping in Denmark.
