Seasonal Slice started as a dream of a calendar with cake recipes and linocut art that could (re)connect us to the flavors, stories and rhythms of the seasons. We envision a perpetual calendar that supports families in creating and returning to nourishing rituals year after year. 

We began in January 2025 by writing, feeling, baking, reflecting, carving, and printing in order to capture the spirit of each month. Now we have all 12 months, and we get to design the whole calendar! 

Each month will feature:

• a vibrantly colored reproduction of an original linoleum print

• an illustrated cake recipe (more like a recipe for an afternoon to put you right in the moment)

• prompts to remind you of the dishes you love to make in that season 

• prompts to note the produce, plants, and energy all around you

• A3 size 

• Printed in Denmark at a Svanemærket printhouse

• Binding and hanging to be determined 

When will my calendar arrive?

We expect to print and send your calendar around the same time that rhubarb is in full swing and strawberries are ripening under the sun (Spring/Summer 2026).
